Effect of Footwear Type on Biomechanical Risk Factors for Knee Osteoarthritis

Background: Regular walking in different types of footwear may increase the mediolateral shear force, knee adduction moment, or vertical ground-reaction forces that could risk early development osteoarthritis (OA).
